There\u2019s 30 Rock\u2019s \u201cBlurgh,\u201d Castle\u2019s \u201cShut the front door,\u201d and other fictional TV curses.<\/p>\n<p data-pid=\"H8Q83zmV\">\u5f53\u6211\u4eec\u60f3\u8981\u5728\u8868\u8fbe\u6124\u6012\u7684\u540c\u65f6\u53c8\u907f\u514d\u5192\u72af\u5230\u4efb\u4f55\u8106\u5f31\u548c\/\u6216\u8654\u8bda\u7684\u4eba\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u4f1a\u5f00\u52a8\u8111\u7b4b\u5c06\u5176\u59d4\u5a49\u5730\u8868\u8fbe\u51fa\u6765\u3002\u6211\u4eec\u8868\u8fbe\u6124\u6012\u7684\u8bcd\u8bed\u6709\u300a\u6211\u4e3a\u559c\u5267\u72c2\u300b\u4e2d\u7684\u201cBlurgh\u201d\uff0c\u300a\u7075\u4e66\u5999\u63a2\u300b\u4e2d\u7684\u201cShut the front door\u201d\uff08Shut the fuck up\u7684\u59d4\u5a49\u8868\u8fbe\uff0c\u8868\u793a\u9707\u60ca\u3001\u4e0d\u76f8\u4fe1\uff09\u4ee5\u53ca\u5176\u4ed6\u7535\u89c6\u5267\u4e2d\u8868\u793a\u6124\u6012\u7684\u59d4\u5a49\u8868\u8fbe\u3002<\/p>\n<p data-pid=\"V-gJS7hr\">Compared to those colorful examples, for Pete\u2019s sake\u2014a milder version of for God\u2019s sake or for Christ\u2019s sake that doesn\u2019t violate any of the Ten Commandments\u2014sounds a little dull. By that point, as NPR\u2019s Michigan Radio reports, for the love of Mike had already been in the English lexicon for at least a couple of decades. For pity\u2019s sake has been around since the 17th century; and its predecessor, for pity, dates all the way back to the 15th century. As Michael Quinion pointed out on his World Wide Words blog, clever cursers may have just chosen Pete because it sounds a little like pity.
